Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) involves testing the installation within your property.

We conduct an extensive series of testing, as this is the only time an electrician is likely to look at the full installation, we believe it should be as thorough as possible. All the inspection work we undertake is directly relevant to the wiring regulations (BS7671) and the IET published notes for inspection and testing (Guidance note 3).

For a domestic property, unless advised otherwise an EICR is recommended every 10 years to ensure the safety of the electrics. The EICR requirements differ for rental or commercial properties, best practice suggests undertaking an EICR every 5 years or on a change of occupancy. Once we have undertaken an EICR you will be sent a full report of findings, should any observations be found, we will also provide a list of recommendations.
